The Mainframe is this same chain as a place you walk through. Each stage is a terminal beside a locked gate, and solving it opens the gate. The maze also hides data fragments with a bonus message you can only get there.
Your progress and score are the same either way, so you can start in one and finish in the other. If you want the maze to be a surprise, start there.
📜 Briefing
The Mainframe is the oldest machine in the system, and it does not disguise its messages by swapping letters for other letters. It moves them, and it masks them. Every letter of every message is still there; it is just not where you expect it, or it is hidden under a key.
Four gates. Each answer hands you the key for the next. Spaces between words were removed before the letters were moved, so your answers will come out as one run of letters: type them with or without spaces, the gate accepts both.
