The Ice Vault is the Elite wing of The Whiteout: a side corridor behind a gold door, with one terminal for each stage.

Your progress and score are the same either way, so you can start in one and finish in the other. If you want the maze to be a surprise, start there.

Behind the gold door the tunnel runs into the glacier itself. Whoever built the vault did not want it found in summer, and did not expect it to be found at all.
